STEM Program Teacher
The City of West Miami is seeking a qualified STEM Program Teacher. The STEM Program Teacher will teach in a six-week STEM Summer Program for middle school students (ages 11-13) in West Miami, including hands-on instruction, mentoring, life skills, and activities like educational field trips.
Salary Range: $48,877.51 - $72,692.80 annual
Responsibilities:
- Supervise up to 20 students and deliver high-quality STEM instructions.
- Plan, organize, and implement daily academic activities.
- Provide academic intervention, small group support, and skill assessments.
- Track student progress and ensure curriculum objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Must be qualified to work in the United States.
- Florida Teacher Certification and two (2) years of related experience.
- Current STEM Certification.
- Valid Florida's driver's license and clear background check.
- Demonstrate patience and the ability to work in an inclusionary learning environment.
Details:
- Temporary/seasonal (7 weeks), funded by The Children's Trust
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week).
- Must be a non-smoker.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.
