Annual Financial Reports

The City of West Miami is required to submit an Annual Financial Report to the State of Florida each fiscal year. This report provides a transparent and comprehensive overview of the City's financial position, ensuring accountability to our residents and compliance with state requirements.

In pursuit of the highest standards in financial reporting, the City has applied for the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (ACFR) and the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) award. The ACFR recognizes governments that go beyond minimum requirements to produce financial reports of the highest quality and transparency. The PAFR recognizes the effort to take that same financial information and present it in a format that is readily accessible and understandable to residents and the broader community.

Together with our consecutive Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards, these applications reflect the City's ongoing commitment to transparency across every dimension of our financial reporting, not just meeting our obligations, but communicating openly and clearly with the people we serve.
