Code Enforcement Officer

THE CITY OF WEST MIAMI ISACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WITH A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD. APPLICANTS WITH LEVEL 1 AND 2 CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED. THE CITY WILL SPONSOR FACE CERTIFICATION CLASSES TO QUALIFIED APPLICANT FOR LEVEL 1 AND 2 CERTIFICATIONS. APPLICANT MUST BE WILLING TO WORK EVERY OTHER SATURDAY 1/2 DAY AND ATTEND ONE EVENING CODE ENFORCEMENT MEETING PER MONTH. BILINGUAL PREFERRED. THE APPLICANT MUST ACCEPT THAT HOURS OF WORK WILL BE ADJUSTED TO ENSURE A 40 HOUR WORKWEEK. THE APPLICANT MUST BE READY TO RESPOND TO EMERGENCIES SUCH AS NATURAL DISASTERS AND ANY OTHER DEEMED EMERGENCY DECLARED BY THE CITY. SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE. FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE. Police Dispatcher | Communications Officer

The City of West Miami is currently accepting applications for a full time Police Dispatcher. The Communications Officer (Police Dispatcher) is responsible for the operation of the Police Department Communications Center. The Communications Officer coordinates all calls received and prioritizes said calls as to the nature and level of emergency. Also relays information to police officers on duty and coordinates emergency responses from centralized location.
