How do I pack my hurricane supply kit? This is an item that contains supplies that your family will need in an emergency. You must keep these items in one place where all family members know to reach for them. Loose items in this kit should be kept in plastic bags. Items in this kit should be easy to carry, placed in a backpack or a duffle bag. This bag should be placed near the exit used most often when leaving the house. This kit should be updated at least yearly. Your kit should contain:
